Grizzle Ocean is actually a pond located in the Adirondacks' Pharaoh Lake Wilderness Area. There are numerous trails in this area and Grizzle Ocean is a good destination or base camp. The name of this pond is part of Adirondack folklore. A logger named Grizzle was always bragging how many fish he was catching from this quaint little pond. His buddies began teasing how it must be an ocean back there.
